We also noted NEC1 expression in connective and smooth muscle cells of blood vessels and in cytoplasm of fibroblasts. Of the cell lines, MCF7 showed the lowest expression of NEC1. The siRNA-mediated NEC1 downregulation impaired the formation of autophagosomes and autolysosomes, which is associated with increased LC3B-II and Beclin-1 expressions. In contrast, overexpression of NEC1 did not have the same effect. These results suggest that NEC1 inhibits autophagy. The higher NEC1 expression in breast cancer cells than in normal breast tissue, and the increased expression in the invasive tumour components, indicate that NEC1 may be implicated in breast cancer progression.This invention relates to a novel indenyl ligand, its racemates, their salts and its catalysts for the production of polyolefins.
